This GenuineDoc Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") covers our treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect online when you access our site and when you use our services. It does not apply to information that is not collected online.

Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information from a visitor to our site unless that visitor explicitly and intentionally provides it. Under no circumstances do we collect any personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, or sex life. If you are simply browsing our site, we do not collect any personal information about you.
Registration Information
To open a GenuineDoc account, you must provide contact information (including your name, company name, and e-mail address).
Information About You From Third Parties
In order to protect all our customers against potential fraud, we may verify with third parties the personal information you provide to us. In the course of such verification, we may receive personally identifiable information about you from such third parties. For example, if you provide credit card information to GenuineDoc, we will use credit card authorization and fraud screening services to verify that your card information and address matches the information you supplied to GenuineDoc, and that the card has not been reported as lost or stolen.
Web Site Traffic Information
When you arrive at or leave our site, we automatically log the Internet address of the site from which you came or are going to. We also collect information such as on which pages of our site you visit while you are on the site, and the times you access our site. We use this information to try to understand our customers' preferences better and to manage the load on our server, so as to improve our service and your experience with GenuineDoc.
Service/Usage Information
We collect information regarding how you use our services. This information may include statistics regarding when you logged into the system, created your signatures and fingerprints and when they were verified. We use this information to provide our services to our users, generally administer the site, and to improve the service that you expect with GenuineDoc.
Cookies
We only use "cookies" as described in this Section. A "cookie" is a piece of information that our Web site sends to your browser, which then stores this information on your system. If a cookie is used, our Web site will be able to "remember" information about you and your preferences either until you exit your current browser window ("session cookie") or until you disable or delete the cookie. Many users prefer to use cookies in order to help them navigate a Web site as seamlessly as possible. You should be aware that cookies contain no more information than you volunteer, and they are not able to "invade" your hard drive and return to the sender with personal or other information from your computer.
We send a "session cookie" to your computer if and when you log in to your GenuineDoc account by entering your account login and password. These cookies allow us to recognize you if you visit multiple pages in our site during the same session, so that you don't need to re-enter your password multiple times. Once you log out or close your browser, these session cookies expire and no longer have any effect.
Users may reject the cookie and still use the service. However, the drawback is the user will be limited in some areas of the site (for example, a user will not be able to access their account maintenance pages).
Customer Service Correspondence
If you send us correspondence, such as e-mails, we may retain such information in the records of your account. We may also retain customer service correspondence and other correspondence from GenuineDoc to you. We may retain these records in order to measure and improve our customer service, and to investigate potential fraud and violations of our terms. We may, over time, delete these records if permitted by law.

Internal Uses
We use the information we collect about you in order
1) to authenticate your identity,
2) to provide and administer our services and process your notarization requests,
3) to provide customer service,
4) to improve our products and services,
5) to prevent fraud and infringements, and
6) to enforce our terms of use.
We may use the information you provide to access specific third party services on your behalf and perform the actions that you request us to perform.
Disclosure to Other GenuineDoc Customers
If you are a registered GenuineDoc user, your name, company name, and information contained in your digital certificate (if any) are provided to other GenuineDoc customers who verify your signatures and fingerprints.
Disclosure to Third Parties Other Than GenuineDoc Customers
GenuineDoc will not share any of your personally identifiable information with third parties except in the limited circumstances described below, or with your express permission (and to other GenuineDoc customers as described above).
1. We share information with companies that help us process the transactions you request or help us provide our services to you and protect our customers' transactions from fraud, such as sharing your credit card number with a service that screens for lost and stolen card numbers.
2. We disclose information that we in good faith believe is appropriate to cooperate in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to conduct investigations of violations of our terms. Specifically, this means that if we conduct a fraud investigation and conclude that one side has engaged in deceptive practices, we can give that person or entity's contact information to victims who request it.
3. We disclose information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court-appointed receiver or other comparable legal process, or in connection with a law enforcement investigation.
4. We disclose information to your agent or legal representative.
5. We share aggregated, anonymous statistical data with our business partners or for public relations. However, this aggregated information is not tied to personally identifiable information.
6. As with any other business, it is possible that GenuineDoc in the future could merge with or some or all of its assets be acquired by another company. If such an acquisition occurs, the successor company would have access to the information maintained by GenuineDoc, including customer account information, but would continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy unless and until it is amended as described above.
Our Contacts with GenuineDoc Customers and Your Ability to Choose
We communicate with users on a regular basis via e-mail to provide requested services. For example, we use your e-mail address to send information about important changes to our products and services, and to send notices and other disclosures required by law.
Information Security
GenuineDoc is committed to handling your customer information with stringent standards of information security. Your password is encrypted when you log in. We don't store your password on our server, instead we store a hash of your password which makes it impossible to restore the plaintext password. All your signatures and fingerprints are secured by being countersigned by GenuineDoc administrator.
The security of your GenuineDoc account also relies on your protection of your password. You are ultimately responsible for the security of your user name and password, and you are responsible for all actions taken with your password. We strongly urge that you never share your password with anyone. GenuineDoc representatives will never ask you for your password, so any e-mail or other communication requesting your password should be treated as unauthorized and suspicious. If you do share your password with a third party for any reason, the third party will have access to your account and your personal information. If you believe someone else has obtained access to your password, please change it immediately by logging in to your account at our Web site and changing your account information. You should also contact GenuineDoc right away.
